David Klingerman is a filmmaker, cinematographer, 2D/3D artist and composer with a career spanning Hollywood feature films, immersive experiences, and high-impact storytelling.

 

He began his journey at Berklee College of Music, studying film scoring, before managing a homeless men’s shelter for four years. During this time, he honed his skills in shooting, editing, and 3D motion graphics, leading to the creation of Five Stone Productions. He later graduated summa cum laude from Cincinnati State in Audio/Video Production while self-teaching 3D, which led to the co-founding of the award-winning studio Storyocity, specializing in motion design and advertising.

 

His work in Hollywood has included EPK, cinematography and various post-production roles for over 20 feature films, collaborating with major studios and filmmakers. His versatility across departments has made him a sought-after creative.

 

In 2022, Mr. Klingerman embarked on his most ambitious documentary, Waterpot, filmed in Kakamega, Kenya. The film chronicles life without access to clean water through the lens of individuals like Martha Akumu, who has endured 50 years without reliable water—an intimate, urgent story of survival and systemic crisis. Currently in post-production.

 

Mr. Klingerman is also co-directing Pandora’s Box, a groundbreaking 40-minute immersive concert experience with Nadeem Majdalany. Featuring stunning 360° visuals and an original neo-classical score, the project is a fusion of sound and vision that pushes the boundaries of cinematic and musical storytelling. Now in post-production, slated for release in fall 2025.
